Meet the Doctor
Thomas G. Rice III, DMD
Dr. Garry Rice grew up in Royston, Georgia, where he graduated from Franklin County High School in 2001. He went on to The University of Georgia and received his Doctorate of Pharmacy in 2007. After working in retail pharmacy for a year, he decided to pursue a career in dentistry and attended dental school at the Medical College of Georgia, College of Dental Medicine, graduating in June 2012. While attending dental school, he was active with Medical Campus Outreach and went on mission trips to Mexico, Peru, Trinidad and Morocco.
Following dental school, he completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the Foundry Dental Center in Bessemer, Alabama receiving further training in various procedures including dental implants, complex extractions, root canals and conscious sedation. In September 2015, Dr. Rice married Peggy Pursell of Sylacauga, AL and they decided to make Alabama their home.
Dr. Rice is a member of the Alabama Dental Association, Academy of General Dentists and the American Dental Association. He enjoys hunting, hiking, camping or anything else in the outdoors. Dr. Rice values our patient relationships, making it his priority to deliver the gentle, compassionate care that you deserve.
